Fleet Performance Analyst Role

• Data Monitoring: Daily review of noon reports from vessels ensures accurate reporting systems are maintained with ship crews.
• Error Analysis: Weekly and monthly tracking of reporting errors, with records of addressed errors.
• Performance Improvement: Strategies to enhance fleet performance and reduce operational costs are developed and implemented.
• Vessel Analysis: Regular assessment of vessel performance against charter party terms and established baselines.
• Operational Efficiency: Evaluation of vessel operations, including maintenance and underwater activities, is monitored.
• Fuel Performance Evaluation: Analysis of fuel performance data to identify trends and conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies in fuel consumption.
• Reporting: Monthly performance analysis reports using data analysis tools inform operational improvements.
• Management Engagement: Participation in management review workshops and senior officer forums to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for data quality improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance: Vessels comply with IMO and MARPOL energy efficiency regulations, specifically the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP), while leading the continuous development of the SEEMP document.
• Data Verification: Verification and maintenance of ship-reported data for regulatory compliance, submission to verifiers, and oversight of emissions data quality.
• Claims Support: Detailed analyses for potential vessel performance claims and ad hoc data inquiries from charterers are assisted with.
• Training Coordination: Availability of training on the Navis Bluetracker platform for onboard and onshore crews is ensured.
• Relationship Building: Strong relationships with charterer/owner's fleet performance teams are fostered to address inquiries and performance issues promptly.
• Task Management: Tasks and workloads for team members are assigned based on company priorities.
• Internship Program: Overseeing the internship program, including interviewing and managing interns in the team.
• Change Management: Initiatives related to process improvements and new technologies are led, collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful implementation.
• Roadmap Development: Creation and updating of the fleet performance development roadmap.
• Contract Support: Time Charter Description (TCD) documents are current to facilitate charterparty extensions and new agreements.
• Performance Tools Management: Development and enhancement of vessel performance tools to meet increasing collaboration demands from OSS customers.
• Timely Reporting: Regular and timely fleet performance reporting, providing recommendations to Fleet Management based on advanced marine knowledge.

• Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• A minimum of 2 years sailing experience and at least 1 year of shore experience for Marine Engineers, or 3 years of experience in performance and environmental functions for Naval Architects.
• Master's Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Marine Engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of complex machinery systems, ship energy efficiency, and performance optimization.
• Expertise in energy efficiency improvements for ocean-going vessels.
• Familiarity with international maritime regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ambitious to grow the Fleet Performance function and passionate about energy efficiency.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proven experience with change management and process improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Critical thinking skills and proficiency in analytical tools.
• Strong understanding of national and international regulations regarding maritime GHG emissions.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to engage in public speaking and present findings confidently to colleagues and industry peers.
• Ability to travel as needed.
