Technical Lead, DevOps

The Technical Lead, DevOps is a strategic leadership position within the engineering team. This role drives DevOps culture and capabilities forward.

This includes spearheading methodology implementation and integration across applications, fostering collaboration between teams to deliver software solutions efficiently and scalably.

Key responsibilities include defining and executing strategy for application development, architecting end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, leading automation efforts, and promoting communication among teams.

Additionally, this role involves establishing monitoring systems, guiding migration and deployment of applications, integrating security practices, and driving innovation through AI-enhanced tools and industry-leading practices.

Operational Focus:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply expertise in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and similar platforms.
  • Develop build packages and deployment pipeline using scripting skills in languages such as Maven and YAML.
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for repeatable and auditable infrastructure management.
  • Drive containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Service Fabrics.
  • Develop automated testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and security testing within pipelines.
  • Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to optimize the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure applications are monitored and supported with actionable logging, metrics, health checks, and uptime dashboards.
  • Implement policies for access control, patching, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to drive system and process improvements.
