Job Title: Chief Assurance Officer

The role of Chief Assurance Officer is critical in ensuring the overall quality of our applications, data, and development processes.

This individual will be responsible for managing and refining our software quality assurance practices, defining and reporting on key quality metrics, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure all system data and applications features are of the highest quality.

The Chief Assurance Officer will matrix manage a team of quality assurance engineers, who are focused on building test cases and automating quality assurance workflows.

Key Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Bachelor's degree).
  • 10+ years of quality assurance experience.
  • Strong experience with application, data, and API testing.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance manual and automation processes and software testing lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and use of automated testing software.
  • Good understanding of web-based technology architecture and data structure.
  • Strong database skills (SQL).
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the quality assurance strategy aligned with business and engineering goals.
  2. Establish Quality Standards: Set up quality standards, KPIs, and metrics to measure and improve product quality.
  3. Process & Methodology: Develop and maintain robust quality assurance processes including test planning, execution, automation, and reporting.
  4. Automation & Tools: Drive the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and coverage.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
  6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality risks early in the development process.
