Regulatory Compliance Professional

The role of a Regulatory Compliance Officer is pivotal in ensuring the organization's operations align with regulatory requirements and foster a robust compliance culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to business units on applicable laws and regulations, including impact assessments and responses to new regulations.
  • Ensure local coverage for KYC/AML/Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) and implement policies and regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering/Combating Terrorist Financing and Sanctions.
  • Advise on the application of rules and policies to specific transactions/deals and review marketing material against minimum standards.
  • Facilitate proactive communication and enhance relationships with key regulators like IFSCA, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), SEZ authorities, RBI, CERSAI, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate regulatory audits and identify and advise senior management of key regulatory risks facing the institution.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of IFSCA regulations governing banking and familiarity with FEMA regulations preferred.
  • Display good working knowledge of banking generally and experience in IFSCA banking/operations/compliance preferred.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in technology platforms.
  • Show ability to handle stressful situations with internal clients and regulators while maintaining a professional approach to problem-solving.
About You

We seek a Regulatory Compliance Officer who is control-focused, able to prioritize deliverables, and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of teamwork, decision-making skills, and integrity. A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in banking and finance, with over 5-7 years in Compliance and AFC in a local or international financial institution, is required.
