Technical Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Technical Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Technology Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining distributed systems that serve our global business.

In this highly visible operational role, you will apply your software engineering skills to develop and maintain real-time systems that meet the needs of our stakeholders. You will optimize system operations through automation and tooling, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

You will work closely with development and quant teams to ensure changes align with measurable Service Level Objectives (SLOs) across user interactions. You will monitor system capacity and performance, identifying potential bottlenecks and sources of instability before they affect stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing and providing feedback on automation code developed by peers, maintaining high standards of code quality and efficiency. You will troubleshoot and resolve system issues, analyzing their impact on infrastructure and service operations.

To succeed in this role, you must have demonstrated work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role. You should have strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell, with the ability to comprehend C# and develop basic applications.

Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Configuration Management (Ansible) is essential. Container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS are also required. Self-motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of ownership are essential qualities for this position.
