Academic Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished leader to spearhead the School of Government. This esteemed position will involve shaping academic and research directions, inspiring innovation, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute strategic plans for academic programmes, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and mission.
  2. Design and implement high-quality curricula that address governance needs and foster a global perspective.
  3. Drive social initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver impactful projects.
  4. Recruit and develop high-calibre faculty, focusing on continuous professional growth and development.
  5. Engage with society through community outreach, curriculum development, and university activities.
  6. Monitor legislative and policy developments, providing expert analysis and insights.
  7. Lead complex research projects, collecting and analysing data, and producing actionable reports.
Essential Competencies:
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
  • Proven track record of managing complex portfolios, finances, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Expert relationship builder, able to coordinate stakeholders and drive processes successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills, including persuasive presentations and report writing.
  • Experience in managing multiple teams, prioritising tasks, budgeting, and performance review.
  • Physical requirements include mobility, stamina, and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly motivated team player with excellent emotional intelligence, confidence, and interpersonal skills.
Qualification & Experience:
  • PhD in Political Science/Public Policy/Law.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in academic leadership.
  • Age less than 50 years as on the date of appointment.
