Senior Technical Director Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Director to oversee the implementation of projects at Alstom Transportation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical liaison for our customers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with project teams.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Directors, and development teams to implement contracts and project requirements.
  • Oversee train level Performance & Architecture WP QCD, reporting on technical execution and the impact of technical decisions on full Project QCD.
  • Evaluate project technical issues and make key project decisions in consultation with the development team.
  • Set and allocate technical and QCD objectives, leveraging existing Alstom platforms.
  • Coordinate and monitor cross-functional objectives, activities, and deliverables, including Development Planning and Configuration Management.
  • Represent the design authority, ensuring product liability and compliance with Alstom standards.

Performance Metrics

  • Achieve project QCD objectives.
  • Perform technical arbitrages and escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure Engineering WorkPackage costs are managed effectively at completion.
  • Conduct On-Time Design Reviews.
  • Guarantee Gate Review Go is achieved on time, as a member of the project management core team.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrate extensive technical knowledge of Rolling Stock platforms (ALSTOM platforms preferred) and project/company background.
