Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the growth of our business in India, managing cross-functional teams, and bridging the cultural gap between Indian and US offices. A key aspect of this role is to develop and execute a strategy that drives revenue growth, builds client relationships, and fosters an environment of mutual respect and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Growth: Develop and execute a growth strategy to expand our market presence in India, identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth.
- Cross-Cultural Leadership: Bridge the cultural gap between Indian and US teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and understanding of business practices across regions.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead a diverse, multi-location team of accounting professionals, tax advisors, and business support staff, fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture that encourages collaboration and alignment across different geographies.
- Operational Integration: Ensure seamless operational integration between the India and US offices, driving efficiency and aligning processes across both regions to meet global standards.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with top-tier advisory services and ensuring that both local and global teams deliver consistent value.
- Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities in India to stay ahead of the curve and adjust strategies accordingly.
- P&L Oversight: Manage the financial performance of the India office, ensuring that budget targets are met, and operational costs are effectively managed.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Implement global best practices while tailoring solutions to the local Indian market, leading innovation in both service delivery and internal operations to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of senior leadership experience in accounting, taxation, or advisory services, with experience managing cross-functional teams across different locations.
- Cultural Intelligence: Proven ability to bridge the cultural gap between teams from different regions (India and the US), understanding of both Indian and US work cultures, business practices, and communication styles.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in leading and motivating diverse teams, driving collaboration, and managing complex, cross-geography projects.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong ability to create and execute business strategies that drive growth while adapting to local market dynamics.
- Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, accounting regulations, and international advisory standards, experience in both compliance and advisory services is essential.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate understanding and alignment between Indian and US teams at all levels.
- Education: CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent in accounting, taxation, or business management, an MBA or similar management qualification is a plus.
