Infrastructure Technology Specialist

The role of an infrastructure technology specialist is to provide guidance and direction in the area of infrastructure technology specialization to support platforms and sectors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Apply the discipline of engineering to deliver critical platform application support and optimize platform sector functionality.
  • Fully understand supported platforms and areas to minimize risks and impact to customers.
  • Review issues and escalations as well as resolve production problems ensuring status and technical matters are reported to management in a timely manner.
  • Utilize skillset to provide support, troubleshooting and performance-tuning within technical domain.
Core Role Competencies
  • Technical Knowledge: Applies in-depth comprehensive knowledge of specialty area subject domain to assume responsibility for large complex systems initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Experienced in collaborating with a diverse team to accomplish a difficult task and handle high-stakes business issues.
  • Risk Management: Examines and defines factors that could adversely affect task completion delivery or achievement of customer satisfaction.
  • Processes Procedures: Ensures processes and procedures are in place for self and others to use.
  • Managing Innovation: Identifies assumptions and sees alternative ways to view or define problems.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Multiple years of experience in infrastructure technology specialization to support Applications hosted on Windows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly in high stress situations.
  • Experience working independently and being self-directed to work with application teams.
  • Proficiency with Windows server, Application knowledge on MS Office Tools including SharePoint Teams Excel etc.
  • At least the last 3 releases of Windows Server TCP IP Routing Principles Firewall Rules DNS troubleshooting packet loss latency issues Active Directory SRV Records and Windows Authentication Process.
