Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

This role involves providing technical expertise and direction in the area of infrastructure technology to support platforms and sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply engineering principles to deliver critical platform application support and optimize sector functionality
  • Review issues and escalations, resolving production problems and reporting status and technical matters to management in a timely manner
  • Utilize skillset to provide support, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning within technical domain
  • Support system improvements that enhance application performance and reliability while maintaining controls
Core Role Competencies:
  • Technical Knowledge: Applies comprehensive knowledge of specialty area subject domain to assume responsibility for large complex systems initiatives
  • Team Collaboration: Experienced in collaborating with diverse teams to accomplish difficult tasks and handle high-stakes business issues
  • Risk Management: Examines factors that could adversely affect task completion delivery or achievement of customer satisfaction
  • Processes Procedures: Ensures processes and procedures are in place for self and others to use
  • Managing Innovation: Identifies assumptions and sees alternative ways to view or define problems
  • Effective Communication: Leads communications on major change initiatives

The ideal candidate should have multiple years of experience in infrastructure technology specialization to support Applications hosted on Windows.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate clearly in high stress situations
  • Work independently and be self-directed to work with application teams
  • At least 5 years of experience and skills/proficiency with Windows server Application knowledge on MS Office Tools including SharePoint Teams Excel etc
  • At least last 3 releases of Windows Server TCP IP Routing Principles Firewall Rules DNS troubleshooting packet loss latency issues Active Directory SRV Records and Windows Authentication Process
