Job Title: Financial Valuation Expert

This is a highly specialized role within our organization, requiring expertise in financial valuation and modelling. As a Financial Valuation Expert, you will work closely with senior investment professionals to provide accurate and timely valuation services for our portfolio investments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and maintaining financial models, preparing valuation memos, and engaging with stakeholders to inform investment decision-making.

We are seeking an individual with sound experience in valuation and financial modelling, as well as strong Excel skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing complex financial valuations using discounted cash flows, market multiples, and market transactions
  • Preparing detailed valuation models and memos for presentation to clients
  • Independently gathering data relevant to investment valuations
  • Providing clear and concise responses to client queries
  • Prioritizing and executing multiple assignments within tight deadlines

Required Skills:

  • Sound experience in valuation and financial modelling (discounted cash flows, market multiples, market transactions)
  • Strong Excel modelling and analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently execute assignments under tight deadlines

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters
  • Hands-on experience with VBA macros
  • Sector knowledge - Real Estate, Shipping, Aircraft, and Oil & Gas

Academic Requirements:

  • MBA or equivalent qualification in finance from a reputed institution
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Economics & CFA (Level II completed)
