Financial Modeling Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled financial analyst to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, with experience in preparing and analyzing historical financial statements using MS-Excel.

The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and financial ratios. They should be able to identify key performance indicators, emerging trends, relevant industry updates, competitive environments, associate risks, and relevant valuation metrics to provide an overview and conclude investment theses on companies under coverage.

In addition, the candidate will have a detailed comprehension of financial projections based on financial statements, management briefings, company budgets, and estimates. This includes normalizing financial statements, creating various scenarios such as management cases, sponsor cases, upside, and downside cases etc.

The selected candidate will also possess a strong understanding of various classes of debt and financing options used by borrowers for deals. They will prepare liquidation-based recovery analyses for various debt pieces using recovery values for each asset type.

The role requires conducting extensive company valuations involving approaches such as discounted cash flow, dividend discount model, trading, and transaction multiples, and economic value added. The candidate will also prepare company profiles, analytical reports/decks, earning and flash notes, quarterly updates, coverage, sector, and theme-based reports, newsletters, technology primers, etc.

Additionally, the candidate will handle ad hoc research requests and support other team members.
