Compliance Officer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant taxation regulations, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and Income Tax Return (ITR) compliance.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee GST compliance, including registration, filing returns, and ensuring timely payments. You will also stay updated on changes in GST laws and implement necessary updates.

In addition to GST compliance, you will also manage TDS compliance processes, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns. You will monitor TDS rates, deductions, and exemptions as per the Income Tax Act.

You will ensure timely and accurate ITR filing for the organization and its employees. You will verify financial data and supporting documentation for ITR preparation.

  • GST Compliance:

GST Registration and Filing Returns: Ensure timely and accurate GST registration, filing of GST returns, and payment of GST.

Stay Updated on GST Laws: Stay informed about changes in GST laws and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.

  • TDS Compliance:

TDS Processes: Manage TDS processes, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns.

Monitor TDS Rates and Exemptions: Monitor TDS rates, deductions, and exemptions as per the Income Tax Act.

  • ITR Compliance:

ITR Filing: Ensure timely and accurate ITR filing for the organization and its employees.

Financial Data Verification: Verify financial data and supporting documentation for ITR preparation.

Qualifications:

  • CA Inter or B.com/M.com with CA Firm Experience
  • Knowledge of relevant tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax provisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with tax planning and advisory services
  • Understanding of regulatory environments and compliance risks
