Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Officer

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce site safety compliance by implementing adherence to protocols, PPE usage and regulatory standards during solar panel installation and maintenance.
  • Monitor environmental regulations regarding waste disposal, emissions and water usage on solar sites.
  • Conduct regular inspections, hazard identification and safety audits. Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Organize daily pre-job briefings, safety inductions and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills for fire, electrical hazards and medical emergencies.
  • Maintain records of inspections, incidents and safety equipment. Submit reports to project managers and regulatory bodies.

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Valid certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, Fire Safety, First Aid.
  • 4-7 years of experience in solar, construction or energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective Action Plans).
