Continental Chef Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Continental Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking Continental dishes, ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Develop and improve menu items based on trends and customer preferences.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare Continental dishes, sauces, and plating techniques.
  • Kitchen Management: Monitor food preparation and portion control to maintain food cost. Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize wastage.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.

The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Continental Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
  • Culinary Expertise: Expertise in preparing Continental dishes, sauces, and plating techniques.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
