Compensation Specialist

The role of a compensation specialist is pivotal within the Human Resources department.

As a key member of the Payroll and Time & Absence team, you will be responsible for ensuring that employees are paid on time and accurately, in compliance with country-specific tax legislation, labor conditions, company policies, and regulations.

You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to coordinate administrative and control activities on behalf of the Payroll department.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver payroll, time, and absence management services efficiently.
  • Process information with confidentiality and high accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to employees and local authorities.
  • Perform activities according to the Dow internal control and compliance framework, including internal and external audits.
  • Represent the Payroll team in projects, improvements, and change initiatives.
  • Serve as an escalation point for employee queries and cases related to payroll matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Preferred skills include experience with Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, and proficiency in other European or Asian languages.
