The Senior Consultant provides business accounting services for Accounting Outsourcing clients, including processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledgers, assisting in monthly financial statement preparation, and communicating results to associates.

Working alongside an integrated team of US and India-based accounting professionals, this role requires collaboration with Accounting Managers and other professionals on various accounting engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter and process client accounting transactions in relevant software on a regular basis.
  • Monitor the portal for assigned clients to ensure all transactions are processed timely.
  • Perform compilation procedures according to firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
  • Develop technical competency with GAAP and various accounting software systems used for Accounting Outsourcing Services.
  • Respond to client and associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner.
  • Communicate proactively with other associates regarding open items, problems, or important matters.
Requirements:
  • Commerce Graduate/Postgraduate degree required.
  • 2-6 years of experience in U.S. accounting, focusing on technology skills and accounting expertise.
  • Proficiency in Excel (formatting information and creating worksheets for imports/exporting).
  • Experience working with Word and Outlook, familiar with features like multiple inboxes/calendars.
  • Knowledge of Fathom Reports or Live Plan.
  • Good exposure to Microsoft Office suite.
