The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all areas related to human resources. They should be adept at onboarding new candidates and collecting necessary background information, as well as providing support to employees while at work. This candidate will work closely with management to deliver training for employees and establish ways to boost employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a trusted point of contact for employees seeking assistance from HR and route to appropriate contact when necessary.
  • Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and manage assigned HR projects; delivering results in a timely fashion and as required with the deadlines provided.
  • Be a preliminary point of contact for managers for employee relations issues; escalate to the Director of People at the appropriate time.
  • Generate official internal documents such as offer letters / employment agreements, proprietary rights agreements, commission / incentive plans, etc.
  • Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on applicable HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
  • Support and partner with the Corporate Payroll team, as needed. Responsible for serving as the first reviewer of payroll reports and flagging nuances, as needed.
  • Timely review and upkeep of the HRIS (Workday) system, including, but not limited to, employee personnel file auditing and completion.
  • Track Tuition Reimbursement requests and ensure proper documentation is on file before reimbursement is processed.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements; participate in corporate audits to confirm ongoing compliance.
  • General HR support and assist with HR Projects, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of Human Resources.
  • Degree in the field of Human Resources or Business, preferred
  • Ability to work in a decentralized HR team environment with support from Corporate.
  • Experience with HRIS, Workday preferred
  • Familiarity with U.S. Employment Practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within Dark Matter Technologies or outside the organization.
