
Business Development Manager

Associate - Indirect Tax
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients during tax authority inquiries, investigations, and audits.
- Prepare responses to show cause notices and audit replies.
- Meet with tax officers for hearings as required.
- Develop and submit tax appeals to the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and Court (Tribunal, High Court / Supreme Court).
- Collaborate with seniors in representing clients before various judicial forums.
- Conduct comprehensive research on diverse topics.
- Identify and discuss technical issues with clients while considering firm risk factors.
- Manage tax matters including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and meetings with tax authorities.
- Execute work on multiple client bases, assuming near independent responsibility for smaller clients.
- Establish rapport with middle layers of client management.
- Stay up-to-date with firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
- Apply knowledge to deliver solutions to clients, bringing value to them and managers.
- Network internally to gain understanding of issues impacting clients.
- Stay current with the latest developments in tax and other laws.
- Contribute to knowledge management activities within the organization.
