Data Governance Expert

Transform the world by developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data governance framework that aligns with business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM), and best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with data cataloguing tools, data lineage, and data quality metrics. Strong documentation and requirement gathering skills are essential to drive enterprise-wide initiatives forward.
This position demands self-driven individuals who can take ownership of governance initiatives independently. Proven ability to collaborate across business and technical teams, influence without authority, and drive change is necessary.
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
- Establish and enforce data standards, policies, and best practices.
- Work closely with data owners, stewards, technology teams, and business stakeholders.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field is required. Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or DCAM are desirable.
5-8 years of experience in data governance, data management, preferably in the financial services industry, is necessary for this role. The position is based in Mumbai/Pune/Hyderabad.
