Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned data governance professional to lead our efforts in designing and executing a sustainable onboarding and enablement framework. This individual will be responsible for communicating and presenting data governance concepts clearly, supporting upskilling and training activities that serve to enable and operationalize the data management roles in the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a comprehensive onboarding and enablement framework that aligns with the organization's data governance goals.
  • Develop and present clear and concise data governance concepts to support the upskilling and training of data management roles.
  • Create suitable content to build and support self-serving capabilities within the enablement framework, providing multiple avenues and channels for data governance roles to develop their skills and understanding of their role.
  • Contribute to the production, refinement, and publication of new training artifacts, including workshops, to support the delivery of data governance initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of other activities and projects within the scope of data governance, such as data maturity models, data KPIs, and regular touchpoints with data governance roles and domains.
  • Lead collaboration with the Digital Transformation Office to effectively communicate digital channels to stakeholders and deliver a successful comms plan.
  • Engage with data stakeholders through the Digital forums, particularly the data Governance Council, to formalise decisions and plans on enablement and gain buy-in.
  • Collaborate with Digital Core business partners to build a stronger operating model that brings data enablement closer to business areas and employees.

What We Are Looking For

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 10+ years experience working in Data Management in a large organization, preferably supporting enablement and training of data roles with a complex data landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain data governance concepts with clear examples, facilitating onboarding of data governance roles and their contribution to the data governance journey.
  • Specialist in designing and implementing Data Governance, with experience or good understanding of Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, Enterprise Data architecture, and Data security practices.
  • Strong facilitation skills, ability to drive progress and find solutions to issues, excellent communicator and confident presenter.
  • Experience implementing and using data management solutions, such as Data Catalogs and Data Quality tools.
  • Proven track record of operating within large data governance programs, with expert understanding of existing data management frameworks and best practice.
  • Ability to remain flexible to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
