Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for managing and implementing data governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with stakeholders to identify critical data elements for SAP master data
  • Developing and maintaining business-facing data glossaries for SAP master data
  • Implementing data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and compliance
  • Designing and implementing scalable data models aligned with business requirements
  • Conducting data quality assessments and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data governance practices into SAP relevant business processes
  • Managing data cataloging and lineage to provide visibility into data assets
  • Facilitating governance forums and data domain councils to review data issues and standards

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of experience in data related disciplines, preferably in oil and gas or financial services
  • Expert knowledge of data governance concepts, including data definition, catalog, ownership, lineage, policies, and controls
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and key business contacts to gather and review requirements for MDG
  • Proven experience in driving Master data solutioning to implement S/4 Hana Green field
  • Strong knowledge of SAP peripheral systems and understanding of upstream and downstream impact of master data
