Job Title: Data Governance Specialist (Azure) Experience Level: 5–8 Years Location: Nagpur or Pune Availability: Immediate Joiners Preferred Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Purview to design, implement, and manage enterprise-level data governance frameworks. The role will focus on defining governance models, ensuring data quality, and enabling compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing end-to-end governance processes and working closely with stakeholders to ensure consistent and reliable data management across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Overall Responsibilities Define data classification, quality, and ownership models. Implement governance policies using Microsoft Purview. Create golden records through Master Data Management (MDM) processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend and implement governance approaches for all required data sources. Technical Responsibilities Proven experience in implementing end-to-end data governance using Microsoft Purview. Define metadata structures, business glossary, data steward roles, and ownership models. Set up automated data quality checks. Manage cataloging and discoverability of internal and external data assets. Identify and implement critical and key data elements (KDEs). Develop automated data classification and labeling mechanisms in Microsoft Purview. Apply knowledge of data governance lifecycle and frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including GDPR and ISO 8000. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5–8 years of experience in data governance, with a minimum of 2–3 years in Microsoft Purview implementation. Strong understanding of data classification, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and tools. Ability to translate business requirements into effective governance processes. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills: Experience working in Azure Data Platform environments. Knowledge of data privacy laws and information security standards. Certification in data governance or Microsoft Purview (advantage).
