Microsoft Purview Consultant

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive the design, implementation, and adoption of Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise environments.

About the Role:

This is a key position responsible for leading the deployment and management of Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk management.

  • Data Governance Specialist: Lead the deployment and management of Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Purview Solutions Architect: Define and implement data classification, labeling, and protection policies across Microsoft 365, hybrid, and cloud-native environments.
  • DLP Configuration Expert: Configure and manage DLP, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery in Purview.
  • Compliance Engineer: Integrate Purview with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Exchange for end-to-end compliance enforcement.
  • Data Estate Assessor: Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Data Cataloging Specialist: Support data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to strengthen governance.
  • Compliance Liaison: Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Tech Documentation Specialist: Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Technical Support Specialist: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Purview and its integrations.

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, Data Governance, or Information Protection.
  • Strong, practical expertise with Microsoft Purview, including Compliance Manager, DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management.
  • Proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate or Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender and the wider M365 security ecosystem.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale deployments, migrations, and compliance rollouts.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and governance workflows.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
