Regional Sales Leadership Opportunity

This is a unique chance to lead our sales efforts in India, driving business growth and market expansion. As Regional Head – Sales, you will be responsible for spearheading commercial initiatives across the country.

Your primary focus will be on managing business operations, including maximizing sales and market share gain for products and/or services in assigned regions of India's domestic and regulated markets.

  • Contribute to our business development strategy on global accounts growth objectives
  • Determine strategies for selected accounts
  • Build wallet share of business for our API business in India

You will also be leading sales and account management teams, ensuring smooth functioning of businesses and monthly order forecasting for production planning.

  • Grow the share of business, as well as expand relationships within customers identifying influencers, gatekeepers, and decision-makers in the region of India, but also direct and align with Global and Regional Key Account Managers to further penetrate client organizations
  • Deploy a strong consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions
  • Interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses from the time orders are received to shipments being dispatched as per customer requirements
  • Coordinate with planning/production and logistics/shipping teams to ensure dispatch as per customer timelines, shipping documentations provided to customers, and ensure payments received by due dates from customers
  • Manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing range of products in untapped regions

Key responsibilities include identification of markets and customers for new products and products in the pipeline. Assist regional heads for a successful launch and ensure sales of new products once commercialized.

Provide market research, market intelligence, and key information on international market trends and competition to help the division with future export strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 15 to 20 years of relevant industry experience in API sales and business development (India market focus preferred)
  • High-energy individual with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to negotiation and closing of partnership agreements
  • Strong leadership qualities, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong relationship management skills, strategic thinking, open-minded, and innovative thinking
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with incomplete information
  • Good negotiation & presentation techniques
  • Well-versed sales techniques, consultative selling, customer psychology, and purchasing patterns
