Function Manager Job Description

The Function Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the design, development, and integration of vehicle body systems. This includes defining electrical and electronic architectures, managing system and subsystem requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders through system 'V' development.

This position requires expertise in model-based design, simulation toolsets, and communication protocols such as A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, and LVDS. The successful candidate will also be familiar with tool landscape including JIRA, Confluence, Codebeamer, Preevision, CAMEO, Github, and JFROG.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop vehicle body systems, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Manage system and subsystem requirements, working closely with hardware, applications teams, and core Competency Framework Teams (CFTs).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders through system 'V' development, from concept to launch.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance using model-based design and simulation toolsets.
Requirements:
  • Rich experience across Closures, Interiors, Safety, etc., as respective function owners.
  • Masters degree in EE/Mechanical/Mechatronics/EE/SW Engineering.
  • Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, and LVDS communication protocols.
  • Experience with tool landscape including JIRA, Confluence, Codebeamer, Preevision, CAMEO, Github, and JFROG.
