CAE Engineer

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced engineering analysis specialist to conduct complex engineering analyses using various software tools.

• Nonlinear FEA and Optimization: A strong understanding of nonlinear finite element analysis and optimization techniques is essential to achieve strength and stiffness targets.
  • Estimating fatigue life for parent metal and weld connections is crucial to ensure the integrity of vehicle structures.

• Structural Dynamics and NVH Studies: An in-depth understanding of structural dynamics, modal analysis, and dynamic responses, including Frequency Response Functions (FRF) and random excitations, is necessary.
  • Conducting full vehicle level NVH studies involves analyzing point mobility and local dynamic stiffness to optimize target frequencies and dynamic responses.

• Problem-Solving and Countermeasures: Developing an intuitive understanding of structural mechanics and problem-solving skills is vital to develop countermeasures with manufacturing and assembly feasibility.
  • Exposure to Multi-Body dynamics simulations with flex-body analysis is beneficial, allowing for a deeper understanding of complex systems.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
• 8-13 years of experience in CAE analysis
• Proficiency in Abaqus, Nastran, Optistruct, Hypermesh, Ansa, Hyperview, and Metapost

• Strong fundamentals of nonlinear FEA and optimization
• Excellent knowledge of structural dynamics and NVH studies
• Intuitive understanding of structural mechanics and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Multi-Body dynamics simulations
