Job Description

The Advanced IT Infrastructure Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the 24/7 availability of our product infrastructure, business processes, and SaaS environments. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Real-time Network & System Monitoring:
    • Monitor the performance and availability of our network, servers, applications, and other infrastructure components using monitoring tools.
    • Anticipate and mitigate potential network, server, and application issues, ensuring uptime and minimal service disruption.
  • Incident Management & Escalation:
    • Serve as the first point of contact for detecting and addressing incidents that affect service availability.
    • Analyze and triage incidents, escalating to Level 2/3 engineers or relevant departments as necessary.
    • Maintain communication with internal teams and external vendors during outages or critical incidents to ensure proper coordination and resolution.
  • System Health & Performance Reporting:
    • Generate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system health, performance metrics, and downtime incidents.
    • Provide insight into trends, recurring issues, and potential problem areas for preventive action.
  • Routine Maintenance:
    • Assist in scheduling and conducting routine maintenance tasks, including network configuration changes, software updates, and backups.
    • Monitor maintenance windows to ensure minimal disruption and assist in post-maintenance verification to ensure services are back online.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF) and network components (routers, switches, firewalls).
    • Experience with network and infrastructure monitoring tools.
    • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows systems.
    • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualized infrastructure.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
