PKI Certificate Management Expert

About the Role:

  • Certificate Lifecycle Management: Responsible for the full lifecycle of digital certificates, encompassing issuance, renewal, revocation, and expiration. Implement and maintain certificate management automation tools to streamline processes and ensure compliance.
  • PKI Design & Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of secure, scalable PKI infrastructure, including Root and Subordinate CAs, CRLs, OCSP responders, and HSMs. Collaborate with enterprise architects and security teams to align PKI with organizational security strategy.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure PKI systems adhere to internal security policies and external standards, such as NIST and ISO 27001. Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments of PKI infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary point of contact for PKI-related incidents, providing expert technical guidance and mentorship to support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PKI Architecture & Design: Develop and implement PKI architectures that meet organizational security requirements.
  • Certificate Automation: Automate certificate management processes using tools like Venafi, AppViewX, and Keyfactor.
  • Certificate Monitoring: Monitor certificate health and compliance using automated dashboards and alerting systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • PKI Infrastructure: In-depth knowledge of PKI infrastructure, including Root and Subordinate CAs, CRLs, OCSP responders, and HSMs.
  • Certificate Management: Experience with certificate management automation tools and processes.
  • Security & Compliance: Understanding of security policies and compliance frameworks, such as NIST and ISO 27001.
