Senior Windows Server Platform Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned technology professional to fill the role of Senior Windows Server Platform Engineer.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server engineering, including experience with SCCM, Active Directory, and GPO. Proficiency in Ansible automation, especially in writing playbooks and roles for patching, reporting, and orchestration, is also required.

A solid understanding of the Vulnerability Management Lifecycle and remediation planning, as well as experience in administering Group policy and Active Directory for server management, access control, and compliance enforcement, are essential skills for this role.

In addition, the successful candidate will be proficient in scripting (Powershell, YAML) for automation tasks and system integration, and have exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and AMI Baking/image lifecycle management.

This role will involve designing and implementing scalable Windows Server solutions, defining and enforcing best practices for patch management, server software deployment, and disk space remediation, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CIS benchmarks and internal security standards, monitoring system health and performance, proactively addressing risks and inefficiencies, and driving automation and process improvements to reduce toil and increase reliability.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Windows Server engineering, including SCCM, Active Directory, and GPO.
• Proficient in Ansible automation, especially in writing playbooks and roles for patching, reporting, and orchestration.
• Solid understanding of the Vulnerability Management Lifecycle and remediation planning.
• Experience in administering Group policy and Active Directory for server management, access control, and compliance enforcement.
• Proficiency in scripting (Powershell, YAML) for automation tasks and system integration.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and AMI Baking/image lifecycle management.
• Strong problem-solving, change management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Advanced knowledge in AWS and Azure Infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge in scripting like Python.
• Advanced knowledge in IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Good knowledge of version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket, or Team Foundation Server.
• Adept in System & IT operation – Windows and Linux OS administration.
