Virtualization Engineer

Job Opportunity:

This role involves the installation, maintenance, and operation of OpenShift Virtualization environments. The ideal candidate should have experience in troubleshooting issues related to OpenShift, understanding IT processes, and proficiency in managing Windows Servers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating OpenShift Virtualization environments, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues related to OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • OpenShift Virtualization: Installation, maintenance, and operation of OpenShift Virtualization environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to OpenShift to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • IT Process Management: Understanding and adherence to IT processes, including incident, change, and problem management.
  • Windows Server Management: Proficiency in managing Windows Servers, including patch management.
  • Network Understanding: Strong understanding of networking principles and practices.
  • Storage Management: Knowledge and management of storage systems and technologies, including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC).
  • Bare Metal Servers: Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers.
  • VM Management: Experience in deploying, operating, decommissioning, and migrating virtual machines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
