Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Service Design Lead with a strategic mindset and exceptional communication skills to join our fast-paced innovation team. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with business, technology, and product teams to develop and test new service propositions.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced Service Design Lead to drive alignment and buy-in across stakeholders. You will be responsible for uncovering market opportunities, leading research methodology and facilitation with users and stakeholders, and demonstrating expertise in systems thinking and creating optimised ecosystems that balance user, business, and technology priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uncover the competitive landscape and market fit for a new proposition
  • Own research methodology and facilitate user engagement to gain deep understanding of the opportunity space
  • Demonstrate systems thinking and create new optimised ecosystems balancing user, business, and technology priorities
  • Challenge existing assumptions with behavioural insight and design expertise to ensure new propositions integrate with and augment users' day-to-day and mental models
  • Conduct concept and proposition validation with users and translate actionable insights into the next iteration
  • Provide vision and direction to the team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements and share best practices
  • Collaborate with product teams to plan and prioritise features for rollout based on business objectives
  • Work closely with technical teams to push innovation boundaries while balancing feasibility of new offerings

Requirements

  • Previous working experience as a Service Designer for 6+ years
  • Ability to think critically, hold complexity, and consider multiple perspectives
  • Experience working in the financial sector, understanding industry nuances
  • Experience collaborating with emerging technology teams to drive innovation
  • Comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholders and getting buy-in
  • Creative thinker who challenges the status quo but remains grounded in analytical problem-solving
  • Proactive doer with excellent organisational and time management skills, comfortable iterating and pivoting quickly
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Experience or curiosity with blockchain and leveraging its capabilities
  • Experience working in startups or using lean startup methodologies
  • Comfortable exploring UX/UI design capabilities as the proposition evolves
