At the forefront of crypto and blockchain innovation, we seek a visionary software engineer to shape our onchain platform. This individual will spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of production services using Golang and Java.

This role demands 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years dedicated to architecting large-scale distributed systems. The ideal candidate has successfully designed, built, scaled, and maintained production services, fostering expertise in service-oriented architecture.

We require excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a bias toward open, transparent cultural practices. Familiarity with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks, Blockchain technology, and working with Golang, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB is a plus.

Our payments platform team at Coinbase builds solutions and services facilitating the processing of hundreds of billions in payments across 100s of countries worldwide. We move funds through transactions like purchases, sales, deposits, withdrawals, and trades for both retail and institutional clients.

The successful candidate will articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them. They'll write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs, debug difficult technical problems, and optimize system performance.
