Job Title: Senior Java Software Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale software systems using Java.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all aspects of software development from architecture to design to estimation to development to testing and release.
  • Develop, debug, and build automated tests for multiple programming assignments.
  • Partner with product owners, software architects, and other software engineers to turn high-level requirements into product enhancements delivered to customers incrementally.
  • Monitor large-scale production applications and have experience with deployment and infrastructure design and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • A team-player with a result-focused passion to deliver an overall solution.
  • You should be comfortable presenting demos of working software and addressing questions about progress.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of production-level Java development experience. They must have hands-on experience with AWS technologies such as SQS, DynamoDB, Kinesis/Kafka/Flink. Experience working on Spring/Spring-Boot Framework and using Terraform to build infrastructure as code is also required. The ideal candidate should be able to build scalable systems and services in the cloud, including calling other REST services from within a REST service. Design patterns and multi-repo GIT code bases are also necessary skills. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
