Our organization seeks an accomplished Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to contribute to our team's success.

About the Role:

  • This position requires a seasoned SDET with 8+ years of experience, particularly in Settlement or Capital Markets.
  • The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of trade life cycle and financial processes testing.
  • A strong ability to lead requirement discussions and derive test cases independently is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable test strategies.
  2. Design and develop effective test scenarios and cases to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
  3. Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and data dependencies.
  4. Contribute to the development of comprehensive test plans and strategies for new features and enhancements.
  5. Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  6. Develop and maintain automated tests using various frameworks and tools.
  7. Perform functional, performance, and regression testing to ensure software quality.
  8. Prepare and maintain detailed test reports to communicate results effectively.
  9. Mentor junior engineers in test automation design, best practices, and implementation.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess 8+ years of SDET experience with exposure to Settlement or Capital Markets.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of trade life cycle and related financial processes testing.
  • Proven ability to lead requirement discussions and derive test cases independently.
  • Familiarity with test management tools, including Java, JUnit, SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, TestNG, JavaScript, Jest, Rest Assured, Cucumber, TDD, BDD, and Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience in testing REST APIs and messaging solutions, such as Solace, MQ, Kafka, relational/NoSQL database concepts.
  • Experience in framework ownership, test strategy, and mentoring juniors.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
