\Staff Compensation Specialist\

About the Role:

\

The Staff Compensation role is responsible for ensuring that all compensation and benefits programs are cost-effective, market-competitive, and fully compliant with local laws. This includes supporting key annual cycles, leading regional C&B initiatives, and evaluating complex issues to propose solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment of compensation and benefits programs with business objectives\
  • Support key annual cycles including compensation planning, insurance renewals, and monthly benefits enrollment\
  • Lead or support regional C&B initiatives and ensure local alignment with global total rewards strategy\
  • Evaluate complex issues and propose solutions that consider varying practices and market dynamics\
  • Plan and implement compensation or benefits changes, managing communication, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement\
  • Develop and deliver training materials, documentation, and communications that explain compensation and benefits to employees and leaders in a clear and understandable way\
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of C&B programs across HR, Finance, Legal, and leadership teams\
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on India compensation and benefits legislation and compliance requirements\
  • Lead or support regional C&B benchmarking and participate in 12 compensation and benefits surveys per year\
  • Utilize Mercer tools or similar compensation systems and platforms to analyze, model, and benchmark pay and benefits programs\
  • Mentor junior team members or regional HR partners as needed\
  • Support the wider COE (Center of Excellence) with global or cross-regional initiatives\

    • Requirements:\
      • \
      • Master's degree required, preferably in HR, Business, or related discipline\
      • Minimum of 8 years of experience in compensation and benefits in a multinational environment\
      • Deep understanding of compensation and benefits regulations, programs, and best practices in India\
      • Experience supporting other regions is a plus\
      • Prior hands-on experience with Mercer tools (or similar platforms) and compensation surveys\
      • Strong experience developing compensation/benefits documentation, FAQs, and program rollout plans\
      • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and present insights to leadership\
