About this Commi role:
As a junior chef, you will work under the supervision of senior chefs. This position is designed for those starting their culinary careers and eager to learn kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing ingredients (washing, chopping, seasoning)
- Support senior chefs during meal preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Receive and organize deliveries
- Rotate stock and discard expired items
- Plate and present dishes as instructed
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic culinary knowledge and knife skills
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Good time management and organizational abilities are essential for success in this role
- Teamwork and communication abilities
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours
- Culinary certification or diploma (preferred but not always required)
