System Support Specialist

Job Role Overview:

  • A system support specialist will be engaged to provide technical assistance for cash management and liquidity activities.
  • This role involves providing support for the underlying application, releases, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and configuration across a bank's banking arm and securities business.
  • Support business hours as required, including participating in an on-call rota and weekend work.
  • Document technical requirements or processes to capture the configuration being performed.
  • Support and test technical systems/servers.
  • Collaborate with software providers and adhere to defined application standards.
  • Apply industry experience and ensure solutions incorporate best practice.
  • Work with neighbouring technology teams to ensure changes are rolled out in a coordinated manner.
  • Provide post-live support and assist with remediation where necessary.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Experience with vendor applications, including Cash Management (CMS) version 4 and Control Process Designer.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling conversation with various teams.
  • Familiarity with Change Requests, attending and representing on CAB, and weekend rollout of code changes.
  • Knowledge of Control M' application, including jobs creation, administration, alerting, file move, and file watchers.
  • Oracle 19 SQL scripting and Oracle database concepts.
  • Linux shell scripting and support.
  • Ability to package and manage configuration/code changes into releases, and apply to production.
  • Jboss 8 server knowledge, configuration, and support, error log analysis, and WAR file deployment.
  • JMS Queue processing and principles.
  • Github software management and Automated deployment via CI/CD pipeline.
