Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Services & Projects Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of plant manufacturing operations, developing maintenance programs, and managing maintenance activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for the plant and equipment, including formalizing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department.
  • Ensure the plant and equipment operate in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal downtime.
  • Function as Project Manager for various tasks, including planning and executing specific projects, designing manufacturing layouts, coordinating equipment selections, and interacting with contractors.
  • Prepare handover documents with all as-built drawings and test reports for official records.
  • Lead a team of maintenance engineers/technicians for all maintenance activities undertaken in operational areas.
  • Visit sites to identify potential problem areas and address them in a planned manner.
  • Track and monitor resolution of issues reported by site heads.
  • Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules as per the maintenance plan.
  • Optimize the usage of resources such as manpower, energy, fuel, and inventory.
  • Manage costs associated with inventory and repair & maintenance.
  • Standardize spares and consumables.
  • Provide guidance for preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance procedures.
  • Design and improve processes to increase plant production efficiency and quality.
  • Manage daily activities of the Maintenance department to reduce and eliminate downtime through structured maintenance programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 18-25 years of experience in maintenance within the manufacturing industry and 10 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Prior knowledge of food processing equipment, mechanical safety practices, and facility maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, develop, and alter schematic diagrams, equipment, and architectural drawings.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Willingness to work off-shift hours, overtime, and be on call as needed.
