Key Roles and Responsibilities: Plant HR Manager

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the end-to-end Human Resources function at our plant. This is a solo HR role, where the selected candidate will be the single point of contact for all HR activities, supporting both blue-collar and white-collar employees.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
    • Recruit and hire staff for various plant-level roles (blue-collar & staff)
    • Coordinate with local contractors/labor vendors for manpower supply
    • Design and deliver employee onboarding and induction programs
  • Employee Relations & Engagement
    • Address grievances of workmen and staff, ensuring timely resolution
    • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and welfare activities
    • Manage healthy industrial relations with contract workers and unions (if applicable)
  • Payroll & Compliance
    • Collaborate with finance/vendor for timely payroll processing
    • Evaluate compliance with labor laws (PF, ESI, Minimum Wages, etc.)
    • Oversee statutory returns, inspections, and audits
  • HR Operations
    • Maintain accurate employee records, attendance, leave management
    • Prepare regular HR MIS reports
    • Handle documentation related to offer letters, confirmations, separations, etc.
  • Performance & Training
    • Support performance management processes
    • Identify training needs and organize skill development sessions

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Plant HR functions (preferably in a manufacturing setup)
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
