Job Summary:

  • The Contracts & Procurement Manager will lead our team with exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a focus on delivering results.
  • They will maintain accurate and thorough records throughout the tendering process to ensure seamless handovers to project teams.
  • The successful candidate will provide commercial expertise to project management and operations teams, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • They will promote best practices across the organisation, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and clients are essential for success in this role.
  • Developing and implementing a contracts and procurement strategy is crucial for driving business outcomes.
  • The manager will identify and mitigate commercial risks, working closely with senior management to find optimal solutions.
  • They will produce regular reports and statistics to inform business decisions.
  • A strong understanding of pricing strategies, vendor positions, and market forces is necessary for preparing accurate tender pricing.
  • Participation in audits and attendance at meetings and trade conferences are also required for this position.
  • Travel may be involved locally and internationally, depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the contracts and procurement function with leadership, supervision, and training.
  • Maintain accurate records through the tendering process for efficient handover to project teams.
  • Provide commercial advice to project management and operations teams.
  • Promote best practices to ensure compliance with organisation's policies and procedures.
  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and clients.
  • Develop and maintain contracts and procurement strategy & policies.
  • Highlight major commercial risks or issues to Management and work on optimum solutions.
  • Produce reports and statistics.
  • Prepare accurate pricing of tenders considering vendor positions and market forces.
  • Participate in audits as required.
  • Attend meetings and trade conferences.
  • Travel locally and internationally as required.
