Highly Skilled Technical Support Specialist

**Job Summary:**
A highly skilled and experienced Support Engineer is required to lead the engineering team in identifying opportunities to innovate based on tickets received.
The successful candidate will mentor junior support engineers, assisting their manager in maintaining productivity levels through automation and refinement of processes.
**Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support for incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, covering multiple products, features, and services.
- Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects using Java, Python, shell scripts, and AWS technologies.
- Collaborate with the development team to hand-off or take over active support issues and create a team-specific knowledge base and skill set.
- Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance, ensuring system and support status reporting.
- Ownership of support for one or more payment products or components, customer notification, and workflow coordination to maintain service level agreements.
**Requirements:**
- 2+ years of software development or 2+ years of technical support experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
- Experience in Unix and scripting in modern programming languages.
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID.
- Experience with REST web services, XML, and JSON.
