Job Title: Regional Trade Development Manager

We are seeking an accomplished regional trade development professional to spearhead our efforts in managing and growing revenue relationships across various regions.

This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills to oversee direct business development efforts, including client prospecting, relationship-building, and deal closures. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for guiding digital sales and channel partner teams to maximize their effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional trade development strategy to achieve revenue and customer acquisition targets.
  • Oversee direct business development efforts, including client prospecting, relationship-building, and deal closures.
  • Support and guide digital sales and channel partner teams to maximize their effectiveness.

Customer Acquisition:

  • Identify and target potential clients, understanding their trade finance needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Diligently source 50+ leads every month through direct and team efforts.
  • Convert 10+ leads every month through the identified ecosystem.
  • Develop and manage a robust network of corporate customers, bankers, rating agencies, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and initiatives to attract new customers.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of two professionals under your supervision as per business volumes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your team, setting clear targets and performance expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.

Regional Management:

  • Manage all trade finance activities in your designated region.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations, compliance, and risk management.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to tailor services and strategies to local needs.

Performance Reporting:

  • Track and analyse key performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience in trade finance, financial services, or a related industry, with at least 12-15 years of experience in team leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance, financial services, and related industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic and evolving business environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
