Sr. Manager-Storage Infrastructure Specialist

Job Title:

This role is responsible for leading enterprise storage infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, with an emphasis on secure, compliant, and high-performance storage systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration of SAN, NAS, object, and cloud storage technologies.
• Evaluate new technologies to align storage infrastructure with current and future business needs, fostering innovation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrated solutions, driving alignment and consistency in storage infrastructure deployments.

• Oversee daily operations of storage platforms, ensuring uptime, reliability, and capacity planning to meet business demands.
• Implement and maintain enterprise-wide backup, archiving, and retention strategies, safeguarding data integrity and compliance.
• Monitor performance, availability, and health of storage systems using industry best practices, ensuring proactive issue resolution and optimization.

• Manage and optimize hybrid and cloud storage platforms, leveraging AWS S3, Azure Blob, and GCP capabilities to drive scalability and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee data migrations, integrations, and lifecycle policies in cloud-based environments, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
• Maintain consistency, availability, and compliance across multi-cloud and on-prem deployments, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• Implement storage-level security measures, including encryption, access control, audit logging, and anomaly detection, to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, and data integrity standards, through effective governance and risk management.
• Partner with Quality/Regulatory teams for audits, inspections, and documentation readiness, maintaining a strong focus on quality and compliance.

• Support regulated systems, such as LIMS, MES, ERP, QMS, and clinical applications, ensuring secure data handling and adherence to industry standards.
• Develop and manage storage governance, policies, and SLAs, establishing clear expectations and service level agreements with stakeholders.
• Optimize licensing, procurement cycles, and vendor performance reviews, driving cost savings and improved efficiency.

• Develop and test storage resiliency, failover, and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring systems meet RTO/RPO targets and business continuity plans are in place.
• Lead complex projects, such as migrations, upgrades, and new implementations, driving successful outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems, including NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, and HPE.
• In-depth understanding of storage protocols, such as FC, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB, and data protection strategies.
• Familiarity with hybrid and cloud storage solutions, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience implementing compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, SOX, and ISO 27001, in storage environments.
• Solid grasp of ITIL practices, risk management, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell and Ansible, is a plus.

Certifications:

• NetApp Certified (NCDA/NCIE), Dell EMC Proven Professional, HPE ASE/MASE, and Pure Storage Certification.
• ITIL Foundation or Intermediate certification.
• Project Management (PMP/Prince2) certification is a plus.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are desirable.

Experience:

15+ years in enterprise storage management, with 8+ years in a leadership or team lead capacity, managing or mentoring technical staff.
