Hitachi Storage Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage the day-to-day administration of SAN and storage environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages, including zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, storage replication technologies, and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage infrastructure events, including capacity management, storage allocations, and performance analysis.
  • Investigate and diagnose raised problem(s) or problem records for root cause analysis.
  • Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices from Hitachi Global Support and company change management policies.
  • Mentor and train junior admins on Hitachi storage operations and management activities.
  • Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and de-provisioning of storage solutions.
  • Ensure IT service continuity management by monitoring data movement and replication, as well as business resumption testing (DR) for storage.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above.
  • Experience handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.
  • Exposure to operations and management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), unified compute platforms, various host O/S including basic cluster management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hitachi technical certification is desirable.

Additional Skills

  • Hands-on experience on Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages operations support.
  • Knowledge of zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, both CLI and GUI, and CCI HORCM.
  • Understanding of storage replication technologies like GAD, HUR, True Copy, local replication etc.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like OPS Center Analyser and Hi-Track.
  • Troubleshooting skills, including checking performance issues at storage level and IO errors.
