Storage Engineer Position

The ideal candidate will have 5-9 years of experience in testing storage systems, filesystems, or cloud infrastructure.

They should be hands-on with Linux/Windows storage stacks and benchmarking tools such as fio and vdbench.

Strong scripting skills in Java, Python, Bash, or Go, along with test automation experience, are required.

Familiarity with kernel debugging using strace, eBPF, and WinDbg is also necessary.

Experience with cloud storage platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a must.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design tests that expose weaknesses in storage tiering, kernel interactions, and edge cases.
  • Shift-left testing through fault injection, fuzzing, and adversarial approaches.
  • Build test frameworks to simulate filesystem corruption, kernel panics, and recovery scenarios.
  • Artificially induce I/O storms, memory leaks, and resource starvation.
  • Solve complex issues at the kernel, filesystem, and block device layers.
Essential Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in testing storage systems, filesystems, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows storage stacks and benchmarking tools.
  • Strong scripting skills in Java, Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Familiarity with kernel debugging.
  • Experience with cloud storage platforms.
