Territory Sales Manager for Educational Products

We are seeking an exceptional Territory Sales Manager to join our team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. This is an exciting opportunity to drive sales growth, build strong relationships with clients, and contribute to the success of our educational products in India.
About the RoleAs a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with key clients, including schools and distributors, to generate revenue for our education vertical. You will also plan and execute events and activities to achieve yearly targets, ensuring timely promotion of our products and services across the target segment.
You will work closely with internal departments to facilitate client needs, ensure customer success through post-sales support, and prepare regular reports on progress and forecasts. A key aspect of this role is having in-depth product knowledge across K and cross-sales products, driving business growth through sales and business analytics, and leveraging CRM data effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture strong connections with significant clients, including schools and distributors, to generate revenue for our education vertical.
- Plan and execute events and activities to achieve yearly targets.
- Timely promote CUP&A products and services across the target segment.
- Develop trust relationships with portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
- Establish relationships with distributors to channelize orders from schools.
- Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Serve as a link of communication between customers and internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment.
- Ensure customer success through post-sales support, managing concerns and issues faced by customers.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Education Publishing or Digital products business on the sales side.
- Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
- Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
- Capability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent listening, problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Salesforce, and help desk support software.
