Job Overview

The College Director plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the overall college and its staff members under the guidance of senior management, aligning with the group's philosophy, culture, values, and vision.

This position is responsible for the administration and efficient conduct of the educational program of the college, integrating plans with those of the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an academic plan for the institution.
  • Establish necessary policies and procedures to ensure high-quality academic offerings from the faculty.
  • Oversee the planning, renewal, and development of academic programs to guarantee their quality and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty and staff, continuously monitoring progress to ensure all academic goals are met.
  • Encourage students to participate in national/international education programs to enhance their exposure.
  • Ensure learning objectives are linked to industry requirements.
  • Maintain and develop an appropriate assessment framework.
  • Propose and manage the academic budget to support essential activities and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Development and implementation of research policies as per guidelines.
  • Setting up necessary processes and structures to facilitate high-quality research.
  • Initiate and promote ethically accountable research, increasing research outcomes.
  • Create a dynamic and forward-looking research environment for both staff and students.
  • Mentor and encourage faculty to focus on research program development.
  • Ensure institute policies and procedures comply with statutory guidelines.
  • Enforce decisions and policies as per guidelines issued by regulatory bodies.
  • Guarantee that all academic programs attain or continue to maintain accreditation standards.
  • Maintain liaison with alumni, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Participate actively in investigations/audits as mandated.
  • Enhance the visibility of the school in academia through active participation and encouragement of the academic team.
  • Ownership and involvement in all financial activities of the school.
  • Mentor and coach the academic team to prepare students for placement.
  • Interface with industry leaders to provide relevant insights about the academic curriculum in conjunction with the placement team.
  • Plan and execute seminars, programs, and webinars to enrich academics with the Head of the Institute.

  • Satisfactory Conduct of Co/Extra Curricular Activities & Campus Discipline
  • Responsible for Overall Academic Process Quality
  • Annual Recognition (AICTE);
  • Periodical Accreditation (National and International- ACBSP/NBA); Periodical Equivalence (AIU);

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree with outstanding academic credentials, including a Ph.D. degree from a well-reputed institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 3 Years shall be at the level of Professor, or 13 Years of experience in research/industry.
  • Post-Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of best practices and research in curriculum, assessment, and instruction.
  • Well-acquainted with various Accreditation Agencies and Statutory bodies, and their procedures.
  • Strong linkages and network with industry and academics.
  • Industry experience at an eminent position will be preferred.
