Senior Legal Executive

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Executive to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts across various jurisdictions, including the US, UK, and EU. Your expertise in contract law, particularly in IT and software industry-specific agreements, is essential in ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, and DPAs.
  • Provide expert legal advice on contractual obligations and commercial terms.
  • Attend negotiation calls with customers and vendors, independently or as part of a team.
  • Handle data privacy matters, including legal research, drafting clauses, and staying up-to-date with global regulatory developments.
  • Review internal documents and policies specific to the India jurisdiction.
  • Draft and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process.

Requirements:

  • Law graduate with approximately 4-6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in the IT/software industry.
  • Strong expertise in redlining and negotiating IT/software industry-specific contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws, including GDPR, and experience with related documentation.
  • Knowledge about SaaS contracts is an added advantage.
  • Experience with legal technology tools and AI-powered legal platforms is an advantage.
  • Understanding of legal aspects related to employment contracts and related matters in India is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills.
