Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Contract Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting the legal function by streamlining legal review of commercial agreements and increasing efficiency for revenue/sales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, maintaining accurate and compliant contract records, and building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders.

You will work closely with legal counsel and internal stakeholders, gaining exposure to a wide range of legal and business matters.

  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for order forms, professional service agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, data privacy agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreements.
  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
  • Develop and effectively articulate creative solutions and draft appropriate alternative terms.
  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with internal policies.
  • Educate internal teams to promote conformity and consistency in contract terms and legal obligations.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Legal administrative processes and legal documents.
  • Partner with other internal teams to drive process and operational improvements and ensure extraordinary customer experience.

Requirements:

A university level degree or equivalent is required, along with 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms & conditions with directly customers or vendors.

Training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or legal writing, including IAACM or similar certification is necessary.

Familiarity with media organizations is desirable.
